Strategy Statement:

The interviewer needs to assess the limits of your commitment. Not only do they want to hear how you would go about keeping-up on changes, but also that you are interested in keeping-up on changes.

Sample Response:

No matter what role I have, I am a forever-learner. If I am not interested enough in a job or an assignment to continue learning as much as I can about that duty, then I feel that I’m probably not in the right place. I review periodicals that are relevant to the industry (often getting titles from supervisors... see what they’re reading), I defer to co-workers who ‘know the ropes’, and I pay attention to work-related conversations between co-workers and with clients. I listen to what people have to say before assuming that they need to hear what I have to say.
