Sample Response: I try to not bring my personal life into the workplace. For many years I felt that this should be a standard for everyone in the workplace, and I found myself disapproving of those who violated my perspective. When I first started working with a person who had a disability, my perspective changed. There was a tremendous amount of this individual’s personal life that had to be considered while they were in the office. Getting to know the individual better lead to a firmer and more authentic working relationship, which in turn lead to a better working team, higher productivity, and improved morale.
