Strategic Statement: Does humor have a place in the workplace? If so, what is it?
Sample Response: I have found that humor is not a proper vehicle through which to instruct or relay vital information. It works at bringing people together, establishing a mood, or taking a ‘break in the action’, but when it comes to business and things that matter, humor can work against you. Having learned this over the years, I make sure to temper my presentations regarding humor, and I use humor only for specific purposes. After all, everyone remembers the class clown, but he seldom gets voted “most likely to succeed”.
