Strategic Statement:
The interviewer wants to know less about what actually happened, and more about why it happened.
Sample Response:
Temper is an emotional product, and in the workplace I try to control my temper by making sure I lead with logic and rational thought.
I accept personal accountability for my behavior. When I do lose my temper, I trust that it is recognized as a bi-product of the passion I might feel for a particular job, assignment, project, decision, etc. The last time I lost my temper involved an exchange with a co-worker who had given-up. The individual had little-to-no regard for others, and (most importantly) had lost regard for themselves. I am passionate about the correlation between personal satisfaction and job performance, and believe that the one is reliant on the other.
