Strategy Statement:

Again, this is the variation of “Could you describe your work habits” question. The interviewer’s wisdom now breaks those general habits into specific tasks. However, it is your habits that the interviewer is still interested in.

Sample Response:

My routine is to list those things I know I need to accomplish, and then fill in all the steps that are required to achieve those goals. Through that process I am able to prioritize and arrange a time line/schedule for each step. Once I have a sense of where I’m going and how I’m going to get there, I start to match employees up with specific tasks. Each one of us has our own area of expertise and interest, and I take those into account when delegating assignments.

For my own work, I generally assign myself the most mundane and dreaded tasks first. Everything gets better from that point on!
