This is another communications-based question, with the interviewer wanting to know how good a listener you perceive yourself to be.

Sample Response:

Listening is a critical component of communication and teamwork development. I make a point of reaffirming to my employees that I consider what they have to say to be of tremendous value. However, there are no guarantees that what others have to say is going to be on-topic, relevant to the discussion, free of bias, etc. The balancing act is to stand by your philosophy that input is of tremendous value, and the fact that not ALL input is of tremendous value.
