The individual doesn’t feel involved enough in the meeting, with the group, or regarding the presentation. Disenfranchisement causes boredom and distraction. If the person does not need to be involved, they don’t need to attend the meeting.

If the issue is unclear, then the individual should be given the option to attend or not. If they are involved and are disrupting the meeting, that involvement needs to be emphasized.
